Community Outreach

Helping Paws regularly works to help educate the public about service dogs, including how the dogs enhance the lives of people with disabilities, veterans with PTSD, and the community at large. We can visit your service organization, school, club, social group, corporation, or other gathering to conduct special presentations.

Demonstrations may be 30-60 minutes long or customized to fit other needs. Demonstrations include:

• An overview of Helping Paws: Who we are and what we do
• How we train using only positive reinforcement
• Examples of skills that service dogs learn and use

Demonstrations may be interactive (between the audience, trainer, and dog) and may include age-appropriate handouts.

We ask a minimum honorarium of $100 ($250 for corporations) for presentations. To schedule a presentation,complete the online Demonstration Request linked below. A staff member will contact you within 48 hours of receiving the form. Once your demonstration is scheduled with Helping Paws, you may return to this page to pay the honorarium.
