Helping Paws has many programs that are used to help fulfill our mission.  The table below lists all of the programs currently in place at Helping Paws.  Click on the program title for a more detailed explanation.

Breeding & Puppy Acquisition Program

Without puppies there wouldn't be service dogs!  Through this program, Helping Paws acquires the puppies necessary to sustain our Service Dog Program.

Foster Home Program

Foster Homes provide the training necessary for the puppies to become service dogs.

Service Dog Training

Through this program, our staff and volunteers have designed and implemented a training program used by our foster homes to train Helping Paws service dogs.

Applicant and Graduate Program

This program's goal is to create a team consisting of a person with a disability and a highly trained service dog.

Volunteer Program

This program is all about the volunteers who support Helping Paws in all of our day-to-day activities.

Public Outreach and Demonstrations

The goal of this program is to teach the general public about Helping Paws and the work that service dogs do for people with disabilities.

Animal Assisted Activities

This program is for individuals from the general public who wish to train and register their dogs for visits to nursing homes and hospitals.
